One of the good things about the nights drawing in is the excuse to make comfort food.Stews and casseroles slow cooked and waiting when you come home.  Also an excuse for a good glass of red wine to wash it down! In this picture Cassoulet bubbling away and some daffodils to remind me spring will return.

Fungi  in Montmartre last year, more joys of Autumn,an omlette and a glass of wine pure magic! I think I shall have to start a foodie blog soon!

  1. We haven't had a cooker for the last 14 weeks, so the slo-cooker has been a god-send (the red wine a sanity saver LOL). I agree, one of the nicest things about autumn is the soups and stews.

  2. I am feeling very aware of the seasons,it is silly but it is almost as though I have seen them a new.I think age make you really more aware! There has to be something good about it!!!!

  3. I agree with you on the comfort food and the way it fits into our winter season.;) danish winter cuisine is also very hardy and I love it.;))
